Trust | in Web Based Social Networks |
In the form below, please enter your primary email address, any other email addresses you use that other people may identify you by, and the email addresses of people you would like to assign trust ratings for. On the next screen you will be asked to assign ratings to people at each of those addresses. We are just looking at a "general" trust in this case - if one of these people were to offer you a bit of advice or to make a general statement, how likely are you to take that advice or trust their statement?
The ontology allows for subject specific trust ratings, but Trust-O-Matic is only general trust ratings.
Privacy: Your email address, and the addresses of the people you know, will be encoded (using sha1sum) and only the encoded version will be posted on the web. If you choose to make your statements private, the files will be kept strictly confidential and used anonymously in this study. The data files will be password protected, accessible only by the study administrators. If you choose a public file, the ratings will be web accessible in an RDF document (more about public and private files), but your email address will still not be publicly available.
Thank you again for participating. Please direct any questions or comments to Jen Golbeck at golbeck@cs.umd.edu...and please invite your friends to come here!
